The past few years I’ve been navigating a dynamic life chapter as I left the 9 to 5 and started my own business. I’m starting to use the title “entrepreneur” over “engineer” more often in my introductions. A lot has changed.
Some days, I feel like I can take on the world’s challenges. Other days, I feel like I am so far behind. From what I’ve heard, this is a pretty normal phenomenon for entrepreneurs, and for most humans for that matter. As people grow and progress in life and stack up both failures and achievements, real clarity becomes something of an invaluable treasure.
I think clarity allows us to know that the metrics do not define you. In the slowest and least impressive seasons, you are seen by God just the same. And when things around you are the most plentiful and your hands seem to be the most capable, you are yet again seen by God just the same. I’ve been on both ends, and I suppose life will continue to sway between the range.
To be well in the low times and to be generous and selfless in the high times. Wouldn’t that be cool.
